“Best of the Decade” voting: The opposite of fixed
I would have shown a photo of Crystal Gunns naked, but you guys who voted her off at No. 91 don't deserve to see her tits!
In a comment down below, Tom wrote, “I sure am glad I found this blog, because I was beginning to think that SCORE Magazine was ‘fixing’ the voting.”
I’m going to repeat what I said in my reply: Believe me, if we could have fixed the voting, we certainly wouldn’t have fixed it this way! Some great SCORE Girls are getting voted out early, and we certainly wouldn’t have asked for that. There’s widespread shock in the office today over the past weekend’s events, particularly Crystal Gunns getting voted out at No. 91…by a wide margin. Wasn’t even close. Truly a shocker because not only was she one of the best SCORE Girls of the decade, she was also one of the most popular (and a girl who was an ambassador for the magazine). A Newcomer of the Year and a Model of the Year. Had a monthly column in SCORE. Hosted our 15-year celebration. And on and on and on.
I suspect that people aren’t taking into account the models’ entire body of work over the decade. It is becoming a “what have you done for me lately?” contest. A good example of this is Auralgasm’s comment, “Perhaps they should have shortened it to top 50 because there are many models on the list who haven’t worked in ages (i.e. Sarah Mercury)” Well, in the early part of this decade, few V-Mag models were as popular as Sarah. We used to say that if we wanted an issue to be a big seller, just put Sarah on the cover. Taking into account her entire body of work over the decade, Sarah is one of the top girls. And the voting has reflected that.
SCORE chief John Fox has been following the voting, and the other day he said to me, “Dave, we gave these guys the power.” Certainly, we could have done a Top 100 without member input (and that Top 100 would have had Crystal Gunns in the top five of the decade, guaranteed). But we decided to do it this way because we wanted your input. So let’s just have fun with it and keep debating along the way.
I’ll just make one request: Before you eliminate a model because you don’t like her anymore or you like a more-recent model better, think about all those times that model gave you pleasure, even if it was back in 2001 or 2003. Let’s make this a true “Best of the Decade,” not a “Best of the Past Two Years.”
Or just ignore my request. Obviously, I have no input here, anyway! 🙂

Just a matter of numbers. We took a list of over 800 newcomers and pared it down to 100, which means that No. 101 and 102 are going to be left out.

Popawheelie, regarding, “I’ll bet that all women of color will be eliminated by #50,” sadly, you might be right, but there could be a few surprises. By the way, what you referred to is one of two trends I hinted at about a week or so go.
Time has changed.For me score was a synonymous for slim and stacked girls. Today girls like Renee Ross dominate score magazine, but that is not (my)score magazine, they belong to voluptuous and XL magazine. I prefer girls like crystal Gunns, Denise Derringer, Summer Sinn or Daphne Rosen. I think the voting of Daphne Crystal and Summer for me is not a surprise.
Wow! Sydney Simona, Africa Sexxx, now Cassitty, all gone in the first 18. Most unsettling to see this unfold. I’m not a gambling man, but I’ll bet that all women of color will be eliminated by #50. Certainly you won’t see them in the top 10 or 20. And you definitely won’t see any surgically-enhanced models in the top 50. These results aren’t a reflection on the fine people at SCORE, it’s more a reflection on their customer’s tastes.
There’s no judging criteria to speak of. This is all very subjective, of course, but some patterns are forming. And I think they’re unflattering to the readers and those participating in the voting. I’m curious about SCORE’s demographic breakdowns: age, regions (e.g., north, south, west), education, gender, etc. I think that info would help us put the results in some kind of context. Otherwise, some ugly assumptions may be formed by some of your subscribers – if we haven’t already.
The countdown is a great idea, but the reuslts are beginning to look fairly predictable – and not in a good way.

This has been an interesting exercise. I have to agree that the manner in which the survey has been set-up may not be a true reflection of how many readers may feel. Hindsight is always better foresight. And on a page of 100 beauties, to have to select which one you like the least and work your way up is a difficult exercise. I think the results will start to become relevant one about half of the girls have been eliminated. Until then, lets be honest, it is a crap shoot.
I do find a trend in that a good many of the participants already eliminated are surgically enhanced.
To add to my previous drunken comment (it was Fri. night, what do you expect). I want to make it perfectly clear that I don’t believe race is an issue in this “contest”. I simply believe certain types of models are being targeted. This was made clear by the anti-augmentation crowd.
Dave, incidentally by adding a “Top Heavy” category to the XL Girls/Voluptuous sites and magazines, any large breasted model from the parent Mag “Score” can be included. And lets face it, large breasted models is what the Score “Empire” is based on.
I will admit I’m watching the Top 100 with interest, it is quite fun. But I’m leery of the actual results. And seriously, I’m not a web troll trying to start trouble, I just want the insider’s truth.

Maybe it’s just me but it seems like the newer girls just don’t grab a hold of your nuts like the classics did. I’m trying to vote but there isn’t a 1-10 class standing out. Back in the day… Traci, Kayla… Further back, Mackenzie, Devon… I love giant breasts but there has to be a total package thing. Is it enough to have a few K for enhancement to get into Score? I’m not falling in lust anymore. The girls have giant tits yes but they are not capturing me emotionally like they used to. It seems like Score has focused entirely on breast size at the expense of sexy. Giant tits on a horse face are like a screen door in a submarine. I’d rather have more content of the hot girls than a selection of woofers. I very much appreciate that you’re always on the hunt but I’d rather the site was a dozen girls that turn my crank with regular fresh content than going through the model directory and skipping most of it due to faces that just don’t do it for me.
Point taken Dave. I hate to bring race into the mix but it seems as though we’re seeing an elimination of natural women of color, with the minor exception of Vixen (who’s a part of the augmented model club). Sydney Simona is one of the most glamorous and beautiful natural breasted women to ever grace your pages. I hate to say it but I believe the fix is in. Once fans started complaining of augmentation bias, Africa gets delegated to #88. Other naturals follow but they happen to be African-American.

I’m rather shocked by the poll as a whole, it must be said. It seems the anti-silicone brigade is out in full force. I bought into the whole “new fresh faces will do better” argument there for a minute, but then when happens? Mianna Thomas, one of the most exciting newcomers in a long time and a girl who has all the makings of a legend—and is all-natural, to boot—comes in at number 86. Now I’m just flabbergasted and have no idea what to expect. Daphne Rosen gone at 94? Crystal Gunns gone at 91? Vixen LaMoore gone at 87? Mianna Thomas gone at 86? This whole thing is turning out to be seriously weird.
I guess I’m not alone. I couldn’t believe some of the ladies that have already been voted out. I guess I’m turned on by freaks? Though I fully agree with #100. Blech.
I am one of those “anti-enhanced crowd”-people i guess. I have consistantly voted against the enhanced models, but i am not trying to be mean, belittle them, put them down or anything like that. It is just a fact that i don’t get turned on by fake breasts. In my book a girl with real tits always pushes out a girl with sillicone and that is just my personal taste, nothing else. And my vote should reflect my personal taste, should it not?
On the other hand I am not going to take it personal or get upset if a model with fake tits ends up winning the whole thing; it is no big deal! It just shows that some people have a different taste than my own and that is just fine by me. I am sorry if some of your favourites are gone this early in the game but at the end of the day it is not the end of the world. Just my 2 cents.

Dave, I gotta say Samantha makes an excellent case (aside from the fact she belongs in the top 10 :). You have several “newbies” posted: Ashley Sage Allison, Terry Nova, Janet Jade and Christy Marks, just to name a few. You also have models with long resumes. But I can’t help wondering why certain models didn’t make the cut. Case and point would be: Shyla Stylez, Jasmine Black, Fionna Steels, Denise Davies, or Linsey Ward. All post millennium models, almost all have dawned covers at one time or another but not popular enough for the top 50?!?!?
Speaking of Samantha and Ashley Sage, you never addressed the under representation of Voluptuous models. So THE logical question an average subscriber must have on their mind is, “how was this list compiled?”
And no disrespect but I have to say with the backlash you’re receiving, a lot of fans are not enjoying it. Love the site Dave and the concept of the “contest” but I believe you should have held an open forum for the fans to choose the top 100 contestants (maybe 3 – 4 months ago, pre-summer). Believe it or not statistically the models with the most initial votes wouldn’t have necessarily made it to the top.
Auralgasm: The majority of models in the top 100 appeared in V-Mag. The vast majority are naturals (one reason it has been easy for the anti-enhanced crowd to eliminate the enhanced models; they have fewer to choose from). As far as who’s missing from the list, did you know that over 800 models debuted in SCORE and V-Mag this decade? We picked only 100 of those, so somebody’s favorites were going to be eliminated. Also, regarding “you should have held an open forum for the fans to choose the top 100 contestants,” we kinda did: The top 100 was based, among other things, on a combination of: 1.) Ratings of the models (by members) on Scoreland; 2.) Our computer’s analysis of which models’ pages are visited and have been visited the most. Things got a little tricky here because, obviously, over the past 10 years, a model such as Sharday, who debuted in 2001, has had her pages visited far more than Ashley Sage, who recently debuted. In those cases, we had to do some extrapolation and comparison. It got a bit statistical. But believe me, we used our heads and hearts, too…knowing that nobody would be 100% satisfied with our list.
There were many ways to conduct this contest; we considered many of them. None of them were perfect. I’ve never seen an election or contest that was.
And, everyone, let’s have fun with this! It’s not like we’re deciding who should be the next president or whether Iran should have nuclear weapons. We’re debating our favorite big-boob models. If that isn’t fun, what is?
Oh, and did anyone notice that the streak of enhanced models being voted off ended last night? Africa came in at No. 88, a very nice ranking for one of my favorite models and one of the first models I interviewed when I came to SCORE in 2001. Two Africa stories:
1. Like I said, she was one of the first girls I interviewed. I was pretty raw back in 2001. I interviewed her in the conference room, door closed, me trying to behave myself. But then we were discussing her body, and Africa said, “Wanna see it?” I didn’t know what to say. Was this allowed? Well, I wasn’t going to say no, and before I knew it, Africa was taking all her clothes off right in front of my eyes, giving me a private show, totally naked. I knew right then that I had found the right job.
2. A few months later, I was asked to direct a XXX photo shoot of Africa and a guy (Santino). Now, I had some ideas, but I had also never directed a shoot before. Well, Africa was on all fours, getting fucked from behind, tits hanging down, and I said to her, “Now take your hands and knead both your tits at the same time.” She looked at me like I was crazy and said, “Both hands?” I said, “Yeah.” She said, “Dave, that’s impossible!” Which, of course, it is when you’re on all fours. I wasn’t asked to direct a hardcore shoot for a long time after that.
Anyway, congratulations, Africa.

A lot of people agree with kh. Last week’s Blog poll was, “When looking at a model, put the following in order of importance from most important to least important: Tits, ass and face.” Tits-face-ass was the winner with 41%, followed by face-tits-ass at 30% and tits-ass-face at 16%.
I don’t think people understand the voting concept. They have taken people that should be in the top 10-15 and knocked them out early. Daphne Rosen, Crystal, etc are top shelf. I hope they don’t take it personal that people may have misread. I appreciate them and all they do. Although I will say I will be super po’ed if Nicole Peters gets taken out of the running before the top 10.

I think that everyone has a right to vote how ever they want to vote, it’s their call. I may not agree with all of the placing, but I think it’s a fun countdown just the same. I don’t understand why some people are being so negative about this. Why do you keep saying they’re getting eliminated? No one’s being voted off an island or getting kicked out of a house…this isn’t reality tv people, this is a showcase of the hottest chicks in the last 10 years. All these models are amazing…some will be more amazing than others to me/you, but that’s gonna totally depend on your personal taste.
I’m having a good time with it and I can’t wait to see who gets the next slot.

like most people on here i’m shocked by the early exit of CG and also Amber Brooks…i also have to agree with a comment on here that the list of 100 has a lot of surprising omissions….Via probably doesn’t qualify since she has pictorials from the late 90s but what about Gabriela Michaels, Christine Allure, Angelina Castro, Sam Springs, Taylor Hill, Slone Ryder, Miranda and the great Eden…i mean isn’t Eden one of the greatest and biggest natural discoveries of the decade hands down?!!

Thanks for the mention Dave but I think you misunderstood my sentiment. I am a big fan of Sarah Mercury’s past work (who incidentally fits under the Voluptuous category, a category of models who are truly underrepresented here) and I think she totally belongs in the top 100, if not the top 30. But it seems if the editors truly wanted to represent the top 100 models (working or not) we’d see the likes of Via Paxton, Autumn Jade, Sierra, Kerry Marie, Toni Evans, Kayla Kleevage, Minka, Sabrina Leigh or even Yurizan for Allah sake!
Don’t get me wrong I will vote for the top 100 but it does seem a bit slanted.
Auralgasm, most of the models (except Sabrina and Yurizan) you mentioned are models from the 1990s. This contest is for models who debuted in the 2000s. Since SCORE debuted in 1993, including the models from the 1990s would have turned this into a “Best SCORE Model Ever Contest” rather than a best of the decade. That was our reasoning for only including models who debuted in the 2000s. I guess there was no perfect, surefire way of doing this. But people seem to be enjoying it, nonetheless.
Oh, and I didn’t see the previous comment. Why Crystal at 91, if she’s hotter than “half the naturals on this list”? Well, I guess that all comes down to how you define “hot”. I guess I’m just not particularly attracted to her look. That’s not to say that she’s not beautiful, of course. She’s gorgeous by most standards. And that’s not to say that there aren’t augmented girls I find attractive. I’d like to see Angel Gee, for instance, at least in the top 20. (And there are other augmented girls I’d love to see that either didn’t make the list or that SCORE’s never featured, like Eve Lawrence or Carly Parker.)

I’m one of those who voted for Crystal. Yes, she’s beautiful. Yes, she’s one of SCORE’s best slim-n-stacked models. But I’m one of those who (almost) finds the “worst” natural-breasted girl better than the “best” augmented girl. If her tits sit supernaturally high on her chest, look like they’re running away from eachother, and/or look closer to rocks than pillows, then she’s getting my vote to go out early.
I am surprised that no one is commenting on the obvious here. Why was CG voted out? It’s simple. Because Dave himself happened to say a few days ago that all the enhanced models were “in danger” except Crystal, who was going solid etc etc.

I don’t understand who is doing the voting. It seems that everyone on the blog is shocked by the way this has gone, but still it keeps happening. I had no idea that what I liked was so far from what other Score people enjoy, but three of my personal Top 10 have already been voted out.
It seems that there is a very strong anti-augmentation vote out there that is just picking these girls off one by one. I just don’t think that people are looking at the ladies’ full bodies of work. I assume that we will ahve mostly new girls in the Top 10.There is nothing wrong with that, but it would be nice if people would take the time to take a look at everything that some of these ladies have done prior to casting their vote.
My Number 1 is still alive, but after losing Crystal and Morgan I am concerned that she too may fall victim to the youth movement going on in the Scoreland voting.

Crystal Gunns has not got pierced nipples like Carrie Ashton.

It is entirely wrong psychologically to ask people to choose the worst first – many people dont like to be unkind and vote for a worst girl – the people who do like that are often the worst type of people with no respect for women or the people with a chip on their shoulder (for example as in this case against enhanced women verses naturals)
If you wanted a good contest you should have presented all 100 and then
asked for a top 10 – either best first or a count down from 10 – that
way even number 10 would be better than 90 of the other girls
This contest goes on too long and at the end will result in a choice
between 2 girls who have not won a vote yet!!! they will certainly not
be the most popular or best – they will be the ones least controversial
– an endurance contest not a beauty contest
