Being the editor of Voluptuous has its perks. For one, I get to stare at big, natural tatas all day long. That is never a bad thing. Maybe a gal like Angela calls white bras “boring” is that she wears them all the time. However, this maybe part of their appeal for readers. A white bra shows how our favourite models would look in everyday clothes, and gives readers a greater appreciation for a model’s true bust size.
It shows what a busty gal must wear in order to have proper support. I have a new respect for the issues that busty gals face when wearing a bra of this nature. Overall, it brings a sense of realism to a photo shoot.
White Lace IS a classic. But for those ladies (and gentlemen) who prefer variety…why not sheer white? Similar to the classic, but with a twist. When dry, they allow for a clear view of both nipple and areola plus add a “shimmer” effect to the whole breast. When wet (by water or oil) the “shimmer” is reduced and they become almost completely transparent. The addition of different colors/styles of bras is always nice, and I can understand the frustration of big-bust gals with lack of variety…after all, variety is the spice of life.
But, perhaps you (as a company) should look into producing your OWN line of bras and lingerie specifically for the unusually well-endowed woman (i.e. “Voluptuous” & “XL” sized ladies). I have a feeling that even if they had to be custom made (based on size, style, material), as long as you can keep the cost within reason, YOU WILL HAVE CUSTOMERS!. After all, some of those getups at Frederick’s cost $60-$80…and they’re mostly worn for show once in a while…these would be not just for show…but PRACTICAL TOO!!!

Good question, Maria. Personally, I love the white bra. To me it represents something that is basic, reliable, solid. It’s the foundation of bras — something to build on. The white bra is the comfort food of bras, like fried chicken and mashed potatoes or country ham and homemade biscuits. I don’t like the white bra all the time but it’s always a favorite of mine, particularly when worn by a woman like Diane Poppos.
