Barbie The Movie mania is generating huge box office. Girls are dressing like Barbie. Mothers and their daughters are filling theaters. Conservative media guys like Piers Morgan are complaining. The blonde icon is a license to print money. Fem-doll fever got me thinking about the few times we did shoots of the girls as life-sized dolls. It’s a little late to shoot any SCORE Girls in a pink Barbie outfit because this will peak soon, but if I had my choices of who to photograph, I’d go with Amber Alena, Katy Ann, Barbie Nicole and Victoria Lobov. In the super-sized division, Victoria Vale.

Looking back at the many SCORE and Voluptuous Girls of the past 30 years, there were quite a few who should have had long careers but didn’t for one reason or another. They posed a few times and vanished.
Barbie was one of those shooting stars. She debuted in the September 1999 edition of SCORE. After that, she made the cover of the November 1999 Voluptuous.
Barbie was 19 years old, a natural and a college student in California.
Several of our contributing photographers found Barbie around the same time. They saw the potential we saw.
We tried to interest Barbie in a trip to SCORE headquarters in Miami, but she dropped out of sight as fast as she appeared.
Barbie had the potential to be a superstar. It was not meant to be, I guess.
