SCORELAND gets all kinds of mail…and the delivery is always special

April 17, 2012 by Elliot James

When Diane Poppos returned to these Happy Halls of Hooters last spring, Maria ran a contest in November ’11 Voluptuous to give away a magazine signed by Diane. This envelope contained one of the entries.

An entry for Diane Poppos' autographed magazine giveaway.

This gentleman really wanted that rare souvenir badly!

I admired his motivation and interest. He could have just addressed the envelope.

When SCORE magazine had a Summer Sinn bra giveaway in the May ’08 edition, Belgian reader D.L. mailed a large envelope containing a huge, accordion-style fold-out that spelled I WANT TO WIN SUMMER SINN’S BRA, with one letter per page and below the letter, a photo of Summer wearing her ultra-rare, custom-made bra. This is one long sheet of paper!

D.L.'s 23-page Summer Sinn bra giveaway entry.

D.L. didn’t win, but I still have his memorable entry. (I save all bra entries from every bra contest. This one’s never been topped.)

D.L. is still a SCORELAND member, for which we thank him.

The folks from the post office always bring something interesting in their mail bags from interesting people.

And we thank them for that.

Betty Blac’s rack attack, Renee cops V-mag Model of the Year again and is Shyla shy? Are you kiddin’?

Betty Blac at XLGirls: very hot

Meet Betty Blac, a sexy, fun-loving babe from Oakland, California who surprised us by saying, “I dated women only until I was 28. I started dating men when I lived in Australia, and since then I have dated mostly men. I still love women, but my attraction to men is stronger and I love cock.” Let’s be grateful for the switch-over. Miss Blac’s face-smothering 36K tits are true works of art. I’d rather see them hanging at the XLGirls’ studio than in a museum. One photo of Miss Blac’s boobs is worth more than all of Pablo Picasso’s crappy paintings.

All bow to Renee Ross

Renee Ross has again won Voluptuous magazine’s Model of the Year title. The June 2012 issue is Renee’s second awards edition cover (now at your favorite newsstand) and her fourth V-mag cover. Leanne Crow won Newcomer of the Year, something I expected to happen, and Kristina Milan won Plumper of the Year. “I voted for Renee,”  R.D. emailed. “There were many worthy rivals up against Renee, as usual, but when it came time to send in my ballot, I entered her name automatically. I will probably do that again if she is in it next year.” Congrats to the winners!

Shyla Shy; knocked-up and horny

Was there some kind of fertility spell cast on the girls of Mamazon The Movie? First, Kali West got pregnant and came back to SCORELAND with a baby bump. Then Shyla Shy called to report that she was over seven months knocked-up, so we did the respectable thing and quickly invited her over for a new pole-vaulting event. See it right now. Shyla’s boobs are heavier than ever. The Florida local is a very quiet girl on or off camera, but it’s those quiet ones you really gotta watch. So far, no pregnancy reports have come in from Shyla and Kali’s Mamazon co-stars Alia Janine, Daylene Rio, Alexis Silver and Rachel Love. Still, I wonder.

Have you voted yet for the 2011 SCORE and Voluptuous Awards? If not, what are you waiting for?

It's not a stretch to think that Venera will win 2011 SCORE Newcomer of the Year.

It's not a stretch to think that Venera will win 2011 SCORE Newcomer of the Year.

Valory Irene would love to win 2011 SCORE Newcomer of the Year, and she might.

Valory Irene would love to win 2011 SCORE Newcomer of the Year, and she might.

Voting booths are still open for the 2011 SCORE and Voluptuous Awards at SCORELAND. Since I’m the editor of SCORE, I’m always interested in how the voting by SCORELAND members compares to the voting by SCORE readers, and this year, the results (so far) have been very interesting.

For Newcomer of the Year, mag readers have had Valory Irene in the lead by a slight margin over Venera, Beshine and Leanne Crow. But in the SCORELAND voting, members have Venera with a slight lead over Leanne, Valory and Terri Jane with Beshine in fifth. Regarding Beshine, I think this probably goes to show that mag readers tend to be people who have been with us since the 1990s and experienced the super-sized era while SCORELAND members tend to be a little bit newer and favor naturals. In the combined voting, Valory and Venera have been exchanging the lead since the start, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Leanne picked up enough votes to grab the coveted crown.

For Model of the Year, SCORE readers currently have Kelly Christiansen (so much for my augmented theory) and Karla James trading the lead almost every day with Miosotis in third and Eva Notty and Karina Hart going at it for fourth. SCORELAND members have it Miosotis one, Karina two, Kelly three and Eva Notty four. I’m not surprised by this. Karla has been gaining popularity since Day One, Kelly had a great 2011 of XXX scenes (and she’s beautiful, and she’s stacked, and she has a great personality) while Miosotis…well, last year’s Newcomer of the Year defies description.

Anyway, you still have time to influence the voting and help out your favorite girl. The booths close December 30. Vote now!

Karina Hart’s winning ways

Congratuations, Renee Ross!

Congratuations, Renee Ross!

Karina Hart was second runner-up in the V-mag Model of the Year contest, and her pictorial from the June ’11 issue was posted yesterday at SCORELAND. Today, SCORE Theater is playing a Karina vid. There’s an impressive scene in this video, not included in this trailer, of Karina squeezing an orange over her nipple and licking off the juice. Now here’s someone that the Florida and California orange juice industry should hire as a spokesmodel.

This year’s MOY contest was a tough showdown. You had Karina, you had Ashley Sage Ellison (she came in second), you had a group of other greats, and you had this year’s winner, Renee Ross, who lost to Ashley last year in the V-mag Newcomer of the Year contest. I don’t vote in these contests because the choices are too difficult. And besides, I’d rather stay neutral. It’s a cliche, but they’re all winners to me. Congrats, Renee!

Dave did a blog a few weeks ago about adding a best hardcore performer title to SCORE‘s three yearly mag contests. I actually think that’s long overdue.

Winning! The girls of June ’11 SCORE magazine

May 9, 2011 by Elliot James

Just to recap, Eva Notty has won Model of the Year, followed by Minka (1st Runner-Up), Karina Hart (2nd Runner-Up), and Christy Marks (3rd Runner-Up). This weekend, the June ’11 SCORE pictorials of Minka and Christy were published on SCORELAND. More to follow this week. Congrats again to Eva. Miosotis won Newcomer of the Year, and now-retired Nicole Peters was voted into the SCORE Big-Boob Hall of Fame.

K.S. notes that, “Eva Notty deserves her win for Model of the Year, and her pictorial in the awards issue proves she is the complete package. I voted for Minka, so Iwas glad to see she made first runner-up.”

Peter The Moon comments on Minka’s pictorial: “Minka, super mega-boobed wonderful girl, Love it!” while Dave comments: “Christy is as fabulous as ever. One incredible woman!”

Our pal V.L. from Brooklyn, New York writes, “I really like, love, admire and adore Miosotis’ nice, beautiful, big, huge, juicy, mouthwatering, gorgeous, luscious tits (boobs) and the rest of her nice, sexy, beautiful, gorgeous, luscious, breathtaking body which is a work of art.”

No matter how you vote, online or by paper ballot from the magazine, don’t sit on the sidelines. Make your vote heard. The next contest will be here before we know it.

And happy birthday, Michelle Bond! Two covers in one year. Impressive!

Freeze frame hooters

Who will win SCORE and V-Mag Newcomer of the Year?

Who will win SCORE and V-Mag Newcomer of the Year?

Four of the contestants in the SCORE and Voluptuous Model contests have their mid-air boobs frozen through the miracle of nip/tit motion. Now that’s a strong bed. Don’t forget to vote before the SCORELAND polls close on December 31. Jenna, Arianna, Karla and Taylor are all in the running in BOTH Newcomer contests. They all deserve to win. Good luck, girls.

Jumpin’ juggies!

Freeze-framing flying boobs is an art form. At least to me.

Freeze-framing flying boobs is an art form. At least to me.

Sure, I’m always impressed when NASA’s latest space shuttle takes off or a cruise line unveils its latest gigantic ship. But those are yawn-inducing events compared to seeing Taylor Steele’s boobs launch into the air, as this bouncy picture illustrates. I can’t think of any sight more impressive than that. Renee Ross did a nice jump shot in the December ’09 Voluptuous. Airborne breasts are definitely on my list for further scientific research in a future episode of SCOREtv.

Taylor is in the running for both SCORE and V-Mag Newcomer of the Year, which were just announced in the January ’11 editions of both magazines, and she’s already begun campaigning for the award on YouTube. With so many worthy Newcomer candidates from 2010 vying for  votes, it looks like this erection season is going to be a hard one.

Contests…love ’em, hate ’em, can’t live without ’em?

The SCORE Newcomer of the Year contest wasn't even a contest when Rocki Roads became the first winner in 1996.

The SCORE Newcomer of the Year contest wasn't even a contest when Rocki Roads became the first winner in 1996.

One of the unintended consequences of my blog this past week (“Shocking news from the SCORELAND Blog poll…or am I the only one who’s shocked?”) was a heated side conversation about comparing one girl to another. It started when Frankie said that so and so and so and so were much hotter than so and so, to which Jenna Valentine replied, “You guys shouldn’t say other girls are hotter than others. It’s not like they can’t read this and don’t have feelings.” And then Arianna Sinn chimed in with, “They can’t understand that this is not a competition between us.” And it really isn’t.

But then there’s the dicey issue of poll questions like the one we asked last week about your picks so far for 2010 Newcomer of the Year, and The Top 100 of the Decade contest that was held at SCORELAND and the annual Newcomer and Model of the Year contests in SCORE and Voluptuous. Which, at heart, are competitions between models.

The SCORE Newcomer of the Year contest started in 1997 and came about entirely by accident. The editor at the time ran a pictorial showing the top newcomers of 1996, and before he knew it, he was getting hundreds of letters with votes he had never asked for. The winner of that non-contest was Rocki Roads (who, incredibly, beat out Linsey Dawn McKenzie). Since then, the official Newcomer of the Year contest has been a mainstay of SCORE (we added Model of the Year in 2001).

Some models, like Crystal Gunns, really love the awards contests.

Some models, like Crystal Gunns, really love the awards contests.

Judging by the thousands and thousands of votes we get (and the fact that the awards issue is always one of our best-sellers of the year), most of you like the awards contests. Most models do, too. Crystal Gunns actively campaigned for 2007 Model of the Year and was thrilled when she did win.

But there’s a flip side to this, too. Some people ask, “How come everything has to be a competition? Why do we have to compare one girl to another?”

“I hate the contests,” Cherry Brady told me the other day. Cherry had the misfortune of coming along in 2003, the greatest year ever for Voluptuous newcomers. In most other years, she might have won…and maybe she wouldn’t hate the contests so much! 🙂

There are a lot of different aspects to this thorny debate. I love the awards. Elliot James doesn’t like them. I think they’re a way to celebrate our best girls. But, of course, there can be only one winner, so how do the runners-up feel? And how about the girls who aren’t even nominated? How do they feel?

Actually, I want to know how you feel. The SCORE and Voluptuous awards: Should we keep them or do away with them?

Shocking news from the SCORELAND Blog poll…or am I the only one who’s shocked?

Arianna Sinn prepares for battle.

Arianna Sinn prepares for battle.

Karla James with big guns blazing.

Karla James with big guns blazing.

I gotta tell you something: When Karla James made her SCORE debut in the September ’10 issue and her SCORELAND debut a few months earlier, I was pretty certain that the 2010 SCORE Newcomer of the Year title was wrapped up. Girls like Karla don’t come along too often, and judging by the reaction to her first appearances, most SCORELAND members and SCORE readers feel the same way.

But last week, we posted a new poll on the Blog that asked, “If the 2010 SCORE Newcomer of the Year Contest were held today, who would you vote for?” The choices were Karla James, Miosotis, Arianna Sinn, Kaytee Carter, Taylor Steele and Jenna Valentine. And right now, with over 370 votes (a very decent sample size), Arianna is kicking ass. She has a whopping 60% of the votes, with Karla way behind in second at 15% and Miosotis in third at 11%.

In soccer terms, this poll is what’s called a friendly. It doesn’t count for anything, but it is interesting and it is shocking. Arianna is undeniably great, but her current margin of victory is huge, and…

Okay. I’m not going to say anything else. But I would like to hear what you guys have to say, especially those of you who voted for Arianna.

Either way, we could be looking at the most interesting SCORE Newcomer of the Year Contest ever.

By the way, Arianna and Karla are both too nice to say, “I’m better than her.” So if you asked Arianna, she’d probably say, “Karla is better than me,” and if you asked, Karla, she’d probably say, “Arianna is better than me.” What do I think? It doesn’t matter what I think. It matters what you think.

In praise of Ashley Sage

December 3, 2009 by Elliot James

There’s been a lot of turbulence over whether Ashley Sage is a 100% SCORE Girl, most recently in Dave’s November 30th BLOG post. As we reach zero hour on the contests, I’d like to throw in my two boobs worth.

This picture is from a SCORELAND video. Amazing.

This picture is from a SCORELAND video. Amazing.

Ashley debuted in the June ’09 SCORE but was only on the cover of SCORE in the September ’09 issue, and she shared that space with Ariana Angel and Kali West. She’s been on the cover of Voluptuous by herself twice, April and November ’09. So, yes, there’s been some uncertainty on our part. I do think she belongs in SCORE.

We got a letter a while back from a reader who wrote about both Karina Hart and Ashley. Most of his letter was too rough to publish, but one of his gentler comments was, “Give me a fuckin’ break. I’m fed up with both of ’em until they show me some real SEX!” Well, that’s not going to happen, at least in the immediate future, and it doesn’t matter because thousands of girls these days fuck for the cameras, but huge, beautiful boobs are a rarity. And when you get to the sheer breast size and shape of a girl like Ashley, you’re talking about one in a few-hundred-thousand girls. Sure, there are thousands of girls around the world with similar huge, beautifully shaped boobs, but they’ll never model for a variety of personal, career, social or religious reasons, so what good are they to me? I’m grateful to Ashley simply for showing off her tits in pictures and video. She doesn’t have to.

Another reader wrote to say, “In my opinion, she [Ashley] is the only new babe that can be mentioned in the same breath as greats such as the beautiful Linsey Dawn McKenzie!” I can’t agree with him that she’s the only new babe, but I respect and understand his sentiments. The past year has given us some great newbies: Ariana Angel, Taylor Steele, Arianna Sinn and Mianna Thomas, among them. Plus, Lorna Morgan and Natalie Fiore are looking bustier than ever these days. Their hooters are just massive and could be just as big now as LDM’s were in her most bountiful years.

Yet another veteran reader/member wrote, “One other thing about Ashley: Cute as she is, she does not appear to know what it means to smile. There is always that straight face that does nothing to entice me. Sorry to say there is no way that I could vote for her as Newcomer of the Year.” Now we’re getting into minutiae. Smiling, not smiling. It doesn’t make that big a difference to me. I like Ashley’s pouty expressions. True, a smiling girl boosts a man’s brain chemistry better than a studious, straightfaced girl, but I’m shallow enough to admit I’m looking at Ashley’s chest 90% of the time. No one seems to mention her beautiful, porcelain-doll face and her flawless complexion. (Like another English girl, Mandy Pearl, Ashley’s a beautician by profession, which means she’s disciplined about her personal skin care regimen.) If Ashley likes to look serious and intense in her pix, I’m not going to let it affect me.

One more comment, this one from an all-praising Scorecard letter: “I just got done jacking to her, and I can say without reservation that she is one of the best newcomers in many years.” No disagreement here. For breasts and face, Ashley is at stratospheric levels. Even if she never shows the pink, let alone anything else, her status is a lock. Lorna Morgan built a successful modeling career without going near a Doc Johnson toy, let alone a guy-girl video. I feel about Ashley the same way I feel about Kerry Marie and another great model, the now-retired Jessica Turner. I’m happy with whatever she wants to do, and I actually wouldn’t want to see her (or Kerry) having sex with a guy in a video. But I love seeing Annina and Holly Halston fuck. It’s that good girl/nasty slut thing.

Anyway, soon we’ll know what the voters have decided. Ashley is in their hands.
