The 2011 SCORE/V-mag Awards: Allow us to illustrate the nominees

December 10, 2011 by Maria

Well, I would’ve illustrated them for you if I had any artistic talent, but I don’t. The most you would get from me is some stick figure with stick-figure boobs. (But they would be BIG stick-figure boobs! lol)

Thank goodness for you that our pal H.D. from Germany can draw. (He draws his figures with big boobs, too. Go figure.)

He sent us some fine, new sketches of some of the finest ladies who are nominated for both the SCORE and V-mag awards.

Speaking of which…have you voted? If you haven’t, you SHOULD. The competition is so tight, the winners will be decided by a few votes. So, if you are the type of person with very strong opinions about tits (like all of us here at SCORELAND!), then cast your votes in the SCORELAND Voting Booth. Voting ends soon, and the fate of your favorite models’ breasts are in your hands.

THEIR TITS ARE IN YOUR HANDS!

😀

Who are you guys voting for?

2011: For Voluptuous newcomers, it’s 2003 all over again!

2003 Newcomer of the Year Nicole Peters

2003 Newcomer of the Year Nicole Peters.

Eight years after her debut, Angela is still making headlines

Eight years after her debut, Angela is still making headlines.

February brought us Cherry Brady, March brought us Ines Cudna and April brought us Nicole Peters. When Brandy Talore, then just 21, graced the June cover, it was clear that 2003 was shaping up as a special year for big, natural tits, and when we finished off the run with Sapphire in July, Sunshine in August, Devin Taylor in September, Maria Moore in October, Casey Cleavage in November and Angela White in December, it became monumental, historic, memorable. In my opinion (and Elliot James’, too) the greatest year in the history of big, natural tits. Of the 13 issues of Voluptuous that year, newcomers graced the covers of 10. Three of those girls–Nicole, Ines and Angela–would make the top 10 of SCORELAND‘s Top 100 of the Decade. Brandy Talore just might be the greatest naturally stacked porn star ever.

I bring this up because just yesterday, I was talking to Maria about how great a year this has been for V-Mag newcomers, and then I went up to Elliot and asked, “Do you think this year is better than 2003?” Elliot thought about it for a moment and said, “It might be.”

Honestly, I never thought we’d see the day (the year?). Already in 2011, Valory Irene, Analee Sands, Elaina Gregory, Dors Feline, Terri Jane, Leanne Crow and a fuller-figured Desiree have made their V-Mag debuts, with Micky Bells and Gya Roberts (both of whom have already made their XLGirls.com debuts) on the way. And here comes Maserati and Hitomi and Beverly Paige!

Time has been very kind to the Class of 2003. Many of the girls who debuted that year have remained among our favorites. Time will tell regarding the Class of 2011, but I can’t imagine that eight years from now, we won’t look back upon 2011 as fondly as we do 2003. And here’s the great part: the year isn’t over!

Is Leanne Crow 2011's heir apparent to Nicole Peters?

Full-figured Terri Jane will probably still be in our jack fantasies in eight years

Valory Irene. As you can see, the choosing 2011 Newcomer of the Year will be a very hard task.

Miosotis, 2010 SCORE Newcomer of the Year. Got a problem with that?

April 14, 2011 by Dave

Miosotis won 2010 SCORE Newcomer of the Year. Got a problem with that?Writing from West Midlands, United Kingdom, SCORE magazine reader C.A. argued, “Miosotis shouldn’t have won Newcomer of the Year. Sure, she’s a beautiful woman and her tits are special, but I think she won it on tit size alone, which shows that a lot of voters (possibly a lot of the younger readers) were naive in their choice.”

I found C.A.’s comments to be reasonable and level-headed (although possibly a bit egocentric in that he only seems to be able to see his view). But then a few weeks ago on the Blog, C.A. once again commented on Miosotis, this time more passionately: “miosotis winning newcommer is fucking ridiculous, people voted purely on tit size… nieve voting, proberbly lots of younger readers most of whom have only just started looking at big tits….”

This kind of confused me because in his original comments, C.A. conceded that Miosotis is beautiful but then said she won on “tit size alone.” Well, which one is it? I think the combination of beauty and tit size (KKK-cup naturals, by the way) is good enough credentials for Newcomer of the Year. No?

C.A. isn’t the only one who has taken issue with Miosotis winning Newcomer of the Year, which surprised me because Miosotis didn’t merely win the award by a little. She won by a lot. The voting wasn’t close (unlike in 2009, when Ashley Sage Ellison won by a little and seemingly the entire SCORE reader base had something to say about it).

I’ll also point out this: The readership of SCORE tends to be older than the membership of SCORELAND, and Miosotis fared better among the magazine readers than she did among the website members. In other words, by extrapolation, the older crowd was voting for Miosotis.

Was I surprised that Miosotis won Newcomer of the Year? Yes. Very surprised. If you want to know why, check out the results of the “Best of the Decade” Top 100 at SCORELAND. But do I think she was a worthy winner? Yes. Beauty and tit-size, you know. And she fucks on camera.

But call me naive. Old, but naive.

The inside scoop on the SCORE Awards, plus a vote for “Pussy of the Year”

Yeah, Angela, I'm looking, I'm looking. How could I not? How could I have been so blind to the wonders of your pussy?

Yeah, Angela, I'm looking, I'm looking. How could I not? How could I have been so blind to the wonders of your pussy?

The votes are starting to come in from the online voting for the 2010 SCORE Awards (the votes have been pouring in for a while now from the magazine readers), and I have to admit, I’m a little surprised. Usually, I have a pretty good idea how the voting is going to go (no surprise that Karina Hart won Model of the Year last year, Christy Marks the year before), but this year? I thought I had a clue. Turns out I didn’t.

Now, I’m not going to give you any details (that wouldn’t be fair because it might affect how things transpire between now and January 1, when the polls close, but I will tell you this:

For SCORE Newcomer of the Year, we seem to have a five-way race, and there seems to be at least a chance that we’ll see a Newcomer of the Year first.

For SCORE Model of the Year, the race seems to be between six girls, and the leader changes from day-to-day. There’s also a good chance that we’ll see a Model of the Year first.

For the Big-Boob Hall of Fame, I was pretty sure that votes would come pouring in for Crystal Gunns, and they are, but they’re also pouring in for six others models, too. This might’ve been one of those years when we should have inducted two models, but we’ll stick with the rules and induct one.

And since I’m the editor of SCORE, not Voluptuous (and I don’t have to be impartial), I’m going to publicly cast my vote in the “Pussy of the Year” category. You see, I have just spent a lot of time watching Angela White’s “Island Fever” video at SCORELAND, and, Angela, if you’re reading this, I’d like to apologize. You see, I knew you had a great rack, and I also know you’re very nice and have a great personality. But, obviously, I’ve spent too much time staring at your tits and listening to you talk and not enough time appreciating your pussy. Now, “Island Fever”…to refresh your memory, Angela, that’s the video in which you’re lying in a hammock in Eleuthera, kinda wearing a short, white dress with what looks like cherries on them, and at one point, the camera goes for the pussy-first, tits-second view, and, damn, your pussy is right in our faces. You’re pulling one pink pussy lip aside with one finger, diddling your clit with the other and…

Pussy of the Year!

Announcing the finalists for the 2010 SCORE Awards. Don’t cry when you see the names of two of the Hall of Fame nominees.

Is Nicole Peters' rack Hall of Fame worthy?

Is Nicole Peters' rack Hall of Fame worthy?

Crystal is a former Newcomer of the Year and Model of the Year. Is the SCORE Big-Boob Hall of Fame in her future?

Crystal is a former Newcomer of the Year and Model of the Year. Is the SCORE Big-Boob Hall of Fame in her future?

The January ’11 issue of SCORE isn’t officially scheduled to go on sale until November 2, but apparently, the issue has already found its way into several readers’ hands. That’s not surprising. Our subscriber fulfillment department mails out issues as soon as they get them, and many retailers don’t wait until the official on-sale date to put the latest mag on the racks (which is why you sometimes see more than one issue of SCORE or Voluptuous for sale at the same time).

Anyway, the reason I know the January ’11 issue is on-sale is that it’s our annual awards issue, and votes for 2010 Newcomer of the Year, 2010 Model of the Year and the SCORE Big-Boob Hall of Fame are already starting to pour in. Voting will start in the members area of SCORELAND sometime in mid-November.

So, since the proverbial cat is already out of the proverbial bag, here are the finalists in each category.

Newcomer of the Year: Alexa, Angelina Castro, Arianna Sinn, Jenna Valentine, Karla James, Kaytee Carter, Kelly Christiansen, Miosotis, Shione Cooper and Taylor Steele.

Model of the Year: Angel Gee, Annina, Ashley Sage Ellison, Christy Marks, Daphne Rosen, Daylene Rio, Eva Notty, Indianna Jaymes, Janet Jade, Karina Hart, Maggie Green, Merilyn Sakova, Minka, Morgan Leigh and Natalie Fiore.

Big-Boob Hall of Fame: Alyssa Alps, Autumn-Jade, Casey James, Cindy Cupps, Crystal Gunns, Dawn Stone, Diane Poppos, Inesse, Julia Miles and Nicole Peters.

FYI, a model must have appeared in SCORE during the 2010 publishing year to be eligible for the Newcomer and Model awards. A model must have retired to be eligible for the Big-Boob Hall of Fame. So, yes, that’s the bad news regarding Nicole Peters and Crystal Gunns.

One more FYI: Eagle-eyed boob men will realize that Angelina Castro debuted in 2009 and is somehow eligible for 2010 Newcomer of the Year. That’s because the difference between Angelina now (super-sized) and Angelina then is so drastic, by all intents and purposes, she’s a newcomer.

Got a problem with that?

Contests…love ’em, hate ’em, can’t live without ’em?

The SCORE Newcomer of the Year contest wasn't even a contest when Rocki Roads became the first winner in 1996.

The SCORE Newcomer of the Year contest wasn't even a contest when Rocki Roads became the first winner in 1996.

One of the unintended consequences of my blog this past week (“Shocking news from the SCORELAND Blog poll…or am I the only one who’s shocked?”) was a heated side conversation about comparing one girl to another. It started when Frankie said that so and so and so and so were much hotter than so and so, to which Jenna Valentine replied, “You guys shouldn’t say other girls are hotter than others. It’s not like they can’t read this and don’t have feelings.” And then Arianna Sinn chimed in with, “They can’t understand that this is not a competition between us.” And it really isn’t.

But then there’s the dicey issue of poll questions like the one we asked last week about your picks so far for 2010 Newcomer of the Year, and The Top 100 of the Decade contest that was held at SCORELAND and the annual Newcomer and Model of the Year contests in SCORE and Voluptuous. Which, at heart, are competitions between models.

The SCORE Newcomer of the Year contest started in 1997 and came about entirely by accident. The editor at the time ran a pictorial showing the top newcomers of 1996, and before he knew it, he was getting hundreds of letters with votes he had never asked for. The winner of that non-contest was Rocki Roads (who, incredibly, beat out Linsey Dawn McKenzie). Since then, the official Newcomer of the Year contest has been a mainstay of SCORE (we added Model of the Year in 2001).

Some models, like Crystal Gunns, really love the awards contests.

Some models, like Crystal Gunns, really love the awards contests.

Judging by the thousands and thousands of votes we get (and the fact that the awards issue is always one of our best-sellers of the year), most of you like the awards contests. Most models do, too. Crystal Gunns actively campaigned for 2007 Model of the Year and was thrilled when she did win.

But there’s a flip side to this, too. Some people ask, “How come everything has to be a competition? Why do we have to compare one girl to another?”

“I hate the contests,” Cherry Brady told me the other day. Cherry had the misfortune of coming along in 2003, the greatest year ever for Voluptuous newcomers. In most other years, she might have won…and maybe she wouldn’t hate the contests so much! 🙂

There are a lot of different aspects to this thorny debate. I love the awards. Elliot James doesn’t like them. I think they’re a way to celebrate our best girls. But, of course, there can be only one winner, so how do the runners-up feel? And how about the girls who aren’t even nominated? How do they feel?

Actually, I want to know how you feel. The SCORE and Voluptuous awards: Should we keep them or do away with them?
