Planning the V-mag Awards issue…oh, yeah!

July 30, 2012 by Maria

The time for the V-mag annual awards issue is here and I am excited. As the editor of V-mag, it is my favorite issue to do because it is, as they say, the whole enchilada. There is a bit of everything and a lot of everything that is good.

There are newcomers to consider and the list of ladies is pretty great. Newbie Roxanne Miller is looking like a strong contender. So is Siri. Everyone’s favorite Latina newcomer is Nancy Navarro, it seems.

The plumpers are always fun because I like women with big tits, and these ladies are packing a lot of punch. Some of the frontrunners who stick out in my mind are Dors Feline, Angel DeLuca and Marilyn White.

There’s the XXX of the Year category, and so many people are talking about Maserati and Sabina Leigh as the ladies to beat.

There are a few subcategories to consider like Ass of the Year and Pussy of the Year, and that always makes voting more fun.

But if you ask me, the hardest category for voting this year is going to be Model of the Year. This year it is going to be fucking hard to choose a winner. I am putting that out there now so when you guys get the urge to send me emails asking why I have made it so hard to choose a favorite, I can say, “I TOLD YOU SO!”

I mean, just looking through the photos has me wondering how this contest is going to be won. It is going to go down to the wire. The winner will win by just a few votes, that is how close it is going to be. Let’s just put it this way: Hitomi vs. Karina Hart? Leanne Crow vs. Renee Ross? Elaina Gregory vs. Jenna Valentine? And that’s just HALF of the lineup. It’s going to be a hell of a contest.

You guys will be seeing the issue around November but know that it is already in the works and that the voting is going to be close this year, so make sure you get your issues early and vote right away so you don’t miss out on the fierce competition.

It’s exciting!

There’s a party going on at SCORELAND. So far, there haven’t been any party poopers

June 20, 2012 by Dave

Leanne Crow measures up among the Top 20 SCORE Girls ever.

Among the things I’ve enjoyed most so far in the “20 for 20” celebration at SCORELAND are the comments members have been posting regarding the day-by-day unveiling of the Top 20 SCORE Girls of all-time. The comments have been interesting and at the same time civil (in most cases). It’s nice when you guys find a way to compliment a model without criticizing another model (or find a way to say something not-so-positive about a girl without sounding quite-so-negative). The good stuff started on the first day with the unveiling of SaRenna Lee at No. 20. Wrote Jorga, “Really people?? SaRenna should’ve at least made the top 5.” Added SB, “I agree- top three- could even peg her as #1.” But I also liked crajosto’s comment: “This is very sad – she is worthy of the top 3 – most recent popular girls in SCORE should really be Voluptuous models – there should be a cut off at 27 inch waist.”

Okay, that’s a biting criticism. But notice how crajosto didn’t name names. He stated his opinion in a very diplomatic manner.

Some people were surprised that Venera finished 19th. Some people might be surprised that there could actually be 18 girls better than her.

When Venera landed at No. 19, babyblue eyes said what a lot of us were thinking: “Why should it be such a surprise that a newcomer would rate this high? Combine this with yesterday’s gnashing of teeth that SaRenna Lee was only No. 20, and what you can surmise is that there isn’t a lot of historical context among SCORELAND members. Those of us who have been around long enough to have bought SCORE and Voluptuous when they were first issued on the newsstand have an appreciation for the ‘legends’ of the industry, but the number of online votes placed by those early readers are no doubt overwhelmed by those who grew up in the Internet era and might not have sufficient recollection of the likes of Chloe Vevrier or Danni Ashe. But that’s true in any all-time rankings done by popular vote: what’s been published most recently is most recent in the reader’s thoughts.”

My thoughts exactly. But then again…if it’s really true that SCORELAND members lack historical perspective…well, I don’t want to give away the rest of the results, but I will tell you that there’s a lot of historical perspective in the top four, which will be revealed next week. So I’m not sure history has anything to do with it. Of course, that’s a subject for debate.

Members have been reminiscing, which is one of the things a celebration like this is all about. They’ve been telling us who they had in their top five. They’ve been talking about girls who didn’t make the list (so far, that is). They’ve been taking about their love affair with big boobs. There has been a lot of spirited back and forth.

Hitomi is great, but is she too new to be considered among the greatest ever?

Another example of respectful criticism came when Hitomi was unveiled at No. 10. Carney22 wrote, “Not to take anything away from Hitomi; she’s quite lovely, and her breasts are stupendous. But this is just another model whose career began far too recently to be rated this high. This is supposed to be a 20th anniversary series, not a best-of-the-last three years feature. But that’s what you get when you let the readers do the rankings online.”

Okay. Fair enough. But, like I said, get ready for the top four. And remember: SaRenna, Danni, Lorna and Kerry didn’t exactly make their debuts yesterday. They all debuted in the 1990s.

Of course, sometimes, people can’t help but show their fangs, which happened yesterday when Leanne Crow came in at No. 8. Wrote Chuck, “In my humble opinion, to have a model who has never shown pink and never done a b/g scene and is put number 9 in the all time models of SCORE for the last 20 years says one thing…RIGGED! And don’t go talkin about how beautiful she is cause several models placed after her are better looking and definitely show a whole lot more. I’d be willing to bet a Yankee dollar that Ashley Sage Ellison will wind up in the top 5. Gotta take care of them English models, right?”

Well, Chuck, as for Ashley Sage Ellison, you owe us a Yankee dollar. Ashley wasn’t on the “20 for 20” ballot.

As for your accusation that the whole thing was rigged…well, Chuck, if it was rigged, SaRenna Lee would’ve been in the top three.

Anyway, gentlemen and ladies, keep commenting like gentlemen and ladies. This party has been a blast, and we still have eight days to go!

Have you voted yet for the 2011 SCORE and Voluptuous Awards? If not, what are you waiting for?

It's not a stretch to think that Venera will win 2011 SCORE Newcomer of the Year.

It's not a stretch to think that Venera will win 2011 SCORE Newcomer of the Year.

Valory Irene would love to win 2011 SCORE Newcomer of the Year, and she might.

Valory Irene would love to win 2011 SCORE Newcomer of the Year, and she might.

Voting booths are still open for the 2011 SCORE and Voluptuous Awards at SCORELAND. Since I’m the editor of SCORE, I’m always interested in how the voting by SCORELAND members compares to the voting by SCORE readers, and this year, the results (so far) have been very interesting.

For Newcomer of the Year, mag readers have had Valory Irene in the lead by a slight margin over Venera, Beshine and Leanne Crow. But in the SCORELAND voting, members have Venera with a slight lead over Leanne, Valory and Terri Jane with Beshine in fifth. Regarding Beshine, I think this probably goes to show that mag readers tend to be people who have been with us since the 1990s and experienced the super-sized era while SCORELAND members tend to be a little bit newer and favor naturals. In the combined voting, Valory and Venera have been exchanging the lead since the start, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Leanne picked up enough votes to grab the coveted crown.

For Model of the Year, SCORE readers currently have Kelly Christiansen (so much for my augmented theory) and Karla James trading the lead almost every day with Miosotis in third and Eva Notty and Karina Hart going at it for fourth. SCORELAND members have it Miosotis one, Karina two, Kelly three and Eva Notty four. I’m not surprised by this. Karla has been gaining popularity since Day One, Kelly had a great 2011 of XXX scenes (and she’s beautiful, and she’s stacked, and she has a great personality) while Miosotis…well, last year’s Newcomer of the Year defies description.

Anyway, you still have time to influence the voting and help out your favorite girl. The booths close December 30. Vote now!

The SCORE & Voluptuous Model contest voting platforms are now open at SCORELAND

December 2, 2011 by Elliot James

I need my boob fix every morning like the juggy junkie I am, so the first thing I do is check the upcoming website postings. SCORELAND is chest incredible.

As the flood of nipples hit my peepers this AM like an adrenaline rush at the end of a 5K run, I realized that boobs rule the world. I see boobs everywhere. They’re always watching me.

The headlights of cars.

The two eggs in my frying pan.

The last two melons in the fruit section of the supermarket.

The two side-by-side nuclear reactors at the Turkey Point power plant.

Those last two cupcakes in the SCORE kitchen.

Big boobs rule the universe.

That brings me to several girls at SCORELAND, SCOREVideos and XLGirls this week that make me smile and lose my heavy load.

Tits-and-ass winner Angel Gee and her naughty-girl red telephone.

Young-and-stacked Beverly Paige with her wide, sleepy eyes and even wider, dreamy areolae.

Maserati: built better than anything an Italian designer could dream up.

Nikki Armand: a newcomer debuting with a bang at XLGirls.com.

Good girl Kelly Christiansen being a bad girl at SCOREVideos.

Yes, big boobs rule the universe.

And that’s good because boobs make me smile.

Well, it’s another erection year. VOTE for your favorite SCORE and Voluptuous models if you haven’t mailed in your magazine ballots. Who will win Newcomer? Who will Model of the Year? Good luck to all the contestants! The voting platform is now LIVE  for members on the member home page of SCORELAND. It’s at the top left corner of your screen. You have some very difficult decisions to make so we don’t envy you.

Winning! The girls of June ’11 SCORE magazine

May 9, 2011 by Elliot James

Just to recap, Eva Notty has won Model of the Year, followed by Minka (1st Runner-Up), Karina Hart (2nd Runner-Up), and Christy Marks (3rd Runner-Up). This weekend, the June ’11 SCORE pictorials of Minka and Christy were published on SCORELAND. More to follow this week. Congrats again to Eva. Miosotis won Newcomer of the Year, and now-retired Nicole Peters was voted into the SCORE Big-Boob Hall of Fame.

K.S. notes that, “Eva Notty deserves her win for Model of the Year, and her pictorial in the awards issue proves she is the complete package. I voted for Minka, so Iwas glad to see she made first runner-up.”

Peter The Moon comments on Minka’s pictorial: “Minka, super mega-boobed wonderful girl, Love it!” while Dave comments: “Christy is as fabulous as ever. One incredible woman!”

Our pal V.L. from Brooklyn, New York writes, “I really like, love, admire and adore Miosotis’ nice, beautiful, big, huge, juicy, mouthwatering, gorgeous, luscious tits (boobs) and the rest of her nice, sexy, beautiful, gorgeous, luscious, breathtaking body which is a work of art.”

No matter how you vote, online or by paper ballot from the magazine, don’t sit on the sidelines. Make your vote heard. The next contest will be here before we know it.

And happy birthday, Michelle Bond! Two covers in one year. Impressive!

Contests…love ’em, hate ’em, can’t live without ’em?

June 25, 2010 by Dave
The SCORE Newcomer of the Year contest wasn't even a contest when Rocki Roads became the first winner in 1996.

The SCORE Newcomer of the Year contest wasn't even a contest when Rocki Roads became the first winner in 1996.

One of the unintended consequences of my blog this past week (“Shocking news from the SCORELAND Blog poll…or am I the only one who’s shocked?”) was a heated side conversation about comparing one girl to another. It started when Frankie said that so and so and so and so were much hotter than so and so, to which Jenna Valentine replied, “You guys shouldn’t say other girls are hotter than others. It’s not like they can’t read this and don’t have feelings.” And then Arianna Sinn chimed in with, “They can’t understand that this is not a competition between us.” And it really isn’t.

But then there’s the dicey issue of poll questions like the one we asked last week about your picks so far for 2010 Newcomer of the Year, and The Top 100 of the Decade contest that was held at SCORELAND and the annual Newcomer and Model of the Year contests in SCORE and Voluptuous. Which, at heart, are competitions between models.

The SCORE Newcomer of the Year contest started in 1997 and came about entirely by accident. The editor at the time ran a pictorial showing the top newcomers of 1996, and before he knew it, he was getting hundreds of letters with votes he had never asked for. The winner of that non-contest was Rocki Roads (who, incredibly, beat out Linsey Dawn McKenzie). Since then, the official Newcomer of the Year contest has been a mainstay of SCORE (we added Model of the Year in 2001).

Some models, like Crystal Gunns, really love the awards contests.

Some models, like Crystal Gunns, really love the awards contests.

Judging by the thousands and thousands of votes we get (and the fact that the awards issue is always one of our best-sellers of the year), most of you like the awards contests. Most models do, too. Crystal Gunns actively campaigned for 2007 Model of the Year and was thrilled when she did win.

But there’s a flip side to this, too. Some people ask, “How come everything has to be a competition? Why do we have to compare one girl to another?”

“I hate the contests,” Cherry Brady told me the other day. Cherry had the misfortune of coming along in 2003, the greatest year ever for Voluptuous newcomers. In most other years, she might have won…and maybe she wouldn’t hate the contests so much! 🙂

There are a lot of different aspects to this thorny debate. I love the awards. Elliot James doesn’t like them. I think they’re a way to celebrate our best girls. But, of course, there can be only one winner, so how do the runners-up feel? And how about the girls who aren’t even nominated? How do they feel?

Actually, I want to know how you feel. The SCORE and Voluptuous awards: Should we keep them or do away with them?

Bella is a SCORE Girl! Bella is a SCORE Girl!

November 24, 2009 by Dave

By popular demand, Bella is a SCORE Girl.

By popular demand, Bella is a SCORE Girl.

Okay, it doesn’t quite have the ring of, “The Giants win the pennant! The Giants win the pennant!” but for a big-boobed babe, being told she’s a SCORE Girl is just about the same thing as winning the big one (unless you’re Jade from Australia, who seems to have the goods but is playing hard-to-get with us). Last week, I told you about Bella, a 100% amateur from Michigan who was in our studio shooting for Naughty Neighbors magazine. We took one look at her tits and thought, “She might be a SCORE Girl,” but we couldn’t decide. So, I shot some video of her and left it up to you guys. Well, the bloggers have spoken. We asked, “Is Bella a SCORE Girl?” and 82% of your replied in the affirmative. That’s good enough for us. Of course, the voting might have been skewed because none of you are going to pass up the opportunity to see a hot chick naked, and Bella is definitely a hot chick, but she’s a big-titted hot chick, and we’re looking forward to seeing her on SCORELAND. Of course, when Bella said, “Sure, I’ll fuck for the camera,” that pretty much sealed the deal.

There’s a lot of voting going on these days in these parts. First, there’s “The Best of the Decade,” which is now down to 39 girls. There were many surprise eliminations early on, but a lot of big names (and very big racks) remain: Karina Hart, Renee Ross, Christy Marks, Sharday, Merilyn Sakova, Nadine Jansen, Angela White, Nicole Peters, Natalie Fiore, and on and on. Uh-oh. Did I just put a bullseye on those girls?

It’s also awards time, and voting has kicked off at SCORELAND (and in SCORE and Voluptuous magazines) for the annual awards. Over at V-Mag, Ashley Sage Ellison and Renee Ross are leading the voting for Newcomer of the Year; Christy Marks, Karina Hart, Janet Jade and Natalie Fiore are very tight in the running for Model of the Year; and Maria Moore and Samantha have a good chance of keeping Sapphire from winning Plumper of the Year for the fourth straight year.

The SCORE voting is fascinating and reflects a split between online voters and magazine voters. For Newcomer, the magazine guys like Ashley Sage Ellison and Faith, while the online guys like Eva Notty, then Ashley and Faith. For Model of the Year, the magazine guys like Karina Hart and Christy with Minka slightly behind, while the online guys are rolling up a runaway for Karina Hart (Crystal Gunns is the only girl who’s close). And for the Hall of Fame, the magazine guys have Cindy Cupps and Sharday running tit-to-tit with Casey James about a bra length behind, while the online guys have Autumn-Jade in the lead over Sharday and Casey with Cindy not even in the picture.

Of course, we’re still very early in the voting. And if you haven’t voted yet, vote now!
