Yes, it’s only late September, but in the publishing world, 2013 is just about over. The Holiday 2013 issue of Voluptuous isn’t officially scheduled to go on-sale until October 15, but judging by the emails I’ve been receiving, the issue is already in a lot of peoples’ hands. How does this happen? Lots of ways. Too many to explain.
And today, I received this email from M.W. Subject line: “My 2013 Awards Votes.”
That’s right. This year, we’re announcing the finalists for the 2013 V-mag awards in the Holiday 2013 issue, and rather than spill all of the beans at once, I’m going to announce the finalists one category at a time, little by little, blog by blog.
Let’s start with Plumper of the Year. The 10 finalists are Kendra Lee Ryan, Janne Hollan, Nikki Smith, Arianna Sinn, Micky Bells, Kristina Milan, Scarlet LaVey, Rene Love, Roxanne Miller and Renee Ross.

There are four standout superstars in this category–Renee, Kristina, Micky and Arianna–to go along with four 2013 newcomers (Kendra Lee, Scarlet, Nikki and Rene Love). I would be a little shocked if one of the superstars didn’t win, although Nikki has done so much XXX this year that she might pull an upset, as might Scarlet. Kristina won two years ago and is a perennial favorite among V-men. But has the time come for Queen of Cleavage Micky Bells to become Queen of the Plumpers?

SCORE magazine kicked off its bra giveaways in the March ’07 issue. The first bra signed by a SCORE Girl to wind up with a reader belonged to Denise Derringer. Since then, numerous autographed bras have wound up in the hands of a winner chosen at random from mailed-in entries.
While every contest gets a sizable number of entries, the most entries mailed in since the contests started were for bras signed by mega-busters Minka and Beshine.
Not every entrant who wins tells us about his background with SCORE or his plans for this unique trophy but some have. Here’s a sampling.
J.H. won Venera’s red bra. “I subscribe to four of your publications. My favorite models are Karen Fisher, London Andrews, Nicole Peters, Valory Irene, LDM, Cassandra Calogera, Nadine Jansen, Venera and Leanne Crow. I love big tits. Your team does an excellent job with your magazines. The decision to end the pull-out section was great. It was always in the way of the centerfold. I never had the desire to pull it out anyway except to view the centerfold in full. I do like it that your mag isn’t political or shock-raunchy like a few of the others. Mr. W.F. won Shione Cooper’s bra. “My wife bought me the magazine at Royal Farms. I’ll have to thank my wife for buying me the magazine. She knows I like big breasts. Mr. R.O. won Gianna’s bra. “I am proud to be chosen the winner of the Gianna Bra contest. Many thanks also for the authenticity certification. Gianna, I feel truly privileged to be the custodian of one of your more intimate articles of clothing.”
E.R. won Catt Green’s bra. “I am so glad I finally won! I have been entering numerous contests in the previous months and am glad to have won this one in particular! I buy SCORE from a store here in San Antonio called MEGAPLEX. My favorite models are Dors Feline, Lorna Morgan, and Karina Hart, plus many more. I buy SCORE DVDS over renting them, because I see no other way. It seems every magazine brings out another beauty. I will cherish this very article and frame it in my gaming room!”

Minka’s bras move in mysterious ways.
Veteran SCORE Man D.R. was announced as the winner of Minka’s most-recent signed bra giveaway (November ’12 SCORE).
“Holy shit!” D.R. wrote when I contacted him. “Minka has been my favorite model for a long time and I think I have all her videos and SCORE mags. As a founding member of SCORE, please keep looking for another Linsey Dawn McKenzie. I will send you a pic of Minka’s bra and me when I figure out how to display it in my man-cave. I am so happy. Merry Christmas to me!”
Well, D.R. kept his promise and sent us this photo with Minka’s mounted bra behind him. Man, does he look content. “I have mounted it to my Dale Earnhardt Jr. race tire in my man cave,” D.R. told us. “I love it. Thanks, Minka and SCORE.”
Thank you for the photo, D.R. Nice to see that a place of honor has been created for that amazing colossal hooter holster. October ’13 will mark Minka’s 19th year as a SCORE Girl. She debuted as a covergirl in the October ’94 issue.
I mentioned that Minka’s bras move in mysterious ways. Here’s why.
A box showed up recently with a letter. Inside the box was an authentic Minka 44KK bra in pristine condition, signed and dated 9/19/08 from our April ’09 giveaway. This was the first bra return in over six years of bra contests. Also in the box was a mint copy of the November ’07 SCORE signed by Christy Marks from another contest. (That issue was Christy’s first magazine appearance.) The letter explained what was going on.
“To Elliot James: My new bride doesn’t want me to have these hanging around so I’m returning them to you at SCORE. An autographed copy from Christy and Minka’s autographed boulder holder. Yes, I was a double winner. Please find a new home for them.”
This is not as critical as finding a basket with two puppies on your doorstep, but we still need to find a new place of honor for these two prime articles of SCORE magazine history. So we’re re-running the contests in one shot in the October ’13 issue, on-sale July 9.
This is the first time Minka’s bra has been dumped for another woman. (And congrats to our reader on his marriage.)

You’ll need a cold shower yourself when you see Venera’s shower pictorial at SCORELAND.
Venera gets wet in a cool bathroom and must undress and get out of her wet clothing. She must not catch a cold. This shoot is from the May ’13 SCORE, and like any Venera pictorial, her posing skills bring tears to the eyes, whether it’s a hanging shot or a super-flexible spread pose.
I guess the odds of Venera becoming an American citizen are long, but a TSG editor can daydream. Then we could photograph her once a month.
The blue bra Venera wears at the beginning of this photo shoot was the prize in September ’12 SCORE’s bra giveaway contest. We have a winner and he is subscriber Mr. B.D. of St. Cloud, Minnesota.
Upon notification of his winning this rare trophy, Mr. B.D wrote: “Are you kidding me? That is totally awesome. I never win anything! I am very thrilled. How do you frame a bra, by the way?”

As of 4:37 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29, less than 0.05% of the votes separated Siri and Karina Hart in the battle for Voluptuous magazine’s Ass of the Year. That’s less than 0.05% with just a little over two days remaining until the ballot box closes. Now, we haven’t finished counting all of the votes that have come in from magazine readers, but the magazine and online voting have been mirroring each other in this category, and readers can’t seem to decide who should win Ass of the Year.
I have to admit, it’s a tough decision. Both girls have great asses. And the only reason I’m letting you in on this information before the ballot boxes close (in political elections, voting figures usually aren’t released until after everybody has voted) is because you still have time to vote. Not much time, but you have time. And the thing is, this is one of those situations in which your vote will make a difference.
So if you haven’t voted for V-Mag’s Ass of the Year (and all of the other V-Mag categories), vote now. Don’t be an ass! Vote for a great ass!

The voting for SCORE‘s four contests ended on New Year’s Eve. The voting for the Voluptuous contests continues and ends on January 31.
A number of voters have included their comments, ranging from one sentence to several paragraphs. Here’s a sampling:

I would really like to know how the conversation went when Minka asked her teammates to vote for her for Hardcore Performer of the Year.
You have just 24 days remaining until the ballot box closes at SCORELAND for the 2012 SCORE Awards. We’ve been busy counting the votes (thousands of them have been pouring in at the website and also from SCORE readers), and here’s a look at how the races are shaping up.
For Newcomer of the Year, it’s looking like a two-way race between Hitomi and Siri, which doesn’t surprise me at all. I actually thought Hitomi would be an easy winner, but then Elliot said he thought Siri would win, so that led to a little lunch bet. Sabrina Linn, Melissa Manning and Estelle Taylor are in the running, too, but they have a lot of ground to make up between now and midnight on December 31.
For Model of the Year, I’ve never seen a year in which the voting was so close, and if you asked me right now who I think is going to win, I’d say, “Who knows?” Valory Irene, Angela White, Venera, Leanne Crow, Beshine, Eva Notty…they’re all getting a lot of support, and who’s ahead depends on the day, even the hour.
For Hardcore Performer of the Year (the one award in which you really have to fuck your way to the top), another close race is brewing among Daylene Rio, Stephanie Stalls, Brittany O’Neil, Desiree, Kitana Flores and Minka. Speaking of Minka, I just received a package with about 15 ballots from members of Minka’s tennis team, all voting for their teammate for Hardcore Performer of the Year.
Finally, the Hall of Fame: I have high hopes that Alyssa Alps is finally going to get admitted, but don’t look now because Cindy Cupps, Sammie, Crystal Gunns and Colt 45 are breathing right down her bra straps.
As I said, the ballot box closes at midnight on December 31. Winners will be announced in the May 2013 issue of SCORE…unless I decide to leak the results before then.
