SCORE is getting ready to celebrate its 20th…but how?

July 25, 2011 by Dave

SCORE was born in June 1992, and so it goes that the world’s No. 1 big-boob mag will celebrate its 20th anniversary with the June 2012 issue. It’s an occasion that calls for something special…but just what?

JUNE 2002We celebrated the 10th anniversary of SCORE with what we called “The Greatest Big-Tit Magazine Ever Made.” The goal of that issue was to depict the history of the magazine in words and pictures. For each year of SCORE, we presented a full pictorial of a girl who best represented that year. Then we accompanied each year with two or three pages of mini-sidebar stories about the main big-boob events of that year. It was, as head honcho John Fox called it, “a labor of love.”

June ’07 SCORE. Our 15th anniversary.

June ’07 SCORE. Our 15th anniversary.

We celebrated the 15th anniversary with an historic 132-page edition that was packed with 248 photos. “Our goal,” I wrote, “was to get you off with the most jackable photos we could find.” In other words, the greatest big-tit jack mag ever. We topped that off with a “15 Years of SCORE” party at SCORELAND that we’re still recovering from. It was a labor of very tired eyes.

So, two anniversaries, two different types of celebrations. Well, on the publishing calendar, the June 2012 issue is right around the corner, and now I’m going to ask you: What can we do to make that our best anniversary issue ever?

I have several ideas, but I’d like to know what you want to see. No, we can’t bring back retired models (except for Diane Poppos). Put on your editor’s cap and brainstorm some ideas. AND THINK BIG. This is our 20th, you know. Most marriages don’t last that long.

You can comment below. Who knows? If we use your idea, maybe we’ll send you a prize, like a copy of that issue signed by me, Elliot and John Fox.

Sorry. I’d give away Maria’s signed bra, but it’s not mine to give away.

I don’t know if this is a good idea for the 20th anniversary edition, but it might be a good idea for a future mag. We all know plenty of men men love breasts, but who are the WOMEN who love score women(like your editor Maria)? Why do they subscribe, who are they? Are they gay? Are they straight, but just like looking at beautiful women? Who are their favorite score models? Are their top choices different from the mens top choices? AND MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL, WHERE CAN I MEET THEM!

    Tiffany Towers….. nuff said……..

Instead of reprinting the same photographs
that were originally published over the last 20 years, look
in the SCORE archives and find photos that were never published for some reason or another rejected.
Even that would be better.I cant stand anniversary issues
that repeatedly reprint photo’s published years earlier, cuz I remember the all photos I have seen last 20 years.
Screw the potentially new fans and subscribers if thats who you intend to target, because anniversary’s are for people who were there and remember.

Gronko: That’s pretty much what we did in the 15th anniversary issue of SCORE…print photos that had never been published.

Many cool ideas here especially LongTimeSubscriber. All I can say is I am beyond stoked that Score exists and flourishes. I am a MASSIVE fan and so love all the content and presentation. I really hope you all go off for the 20th celebration. The models you all have had over the years have all be SO HOT and your publications have kept me on the hook ever since I came across your work in the early nineties. Here’s to 20+20+20 more years!!

    hey Dave and Elliot,
if u guys are open for suggestions about how to improve
    rhis blog.
I think whenever a new issue of either SCORE or V-Mag
is hot off the pressses, that you should post
the new covers here, because I have some ideas that just dont go with whatever pics are posted during the week.
IMOP for example you guys are posting too much Mitosis and Kristine Milin pictorials in v-mag(there are not that great, really)
also Arinna Sinn will seem to be surely over-exposed soon too.
    Just some random thoughts

lots of boob to boob mashing! Maybe a volume two of the Busty Ladies of Wrestling!

  7. Gronko says:

    Wow!
That was a fast request granted!!!
I just opened up the new issue of Voluptuous (November 2011),
that I got in the mail,
and sure enough,it has a brand new pictorial of Michelle May
    in it.
    Thanks SCORE group!!!!!

  8. Gronko says:

    Bring back Michelle May!!!

  9. carl says:

Linsey dawn mckenzie and hitomi tanaka on the cover. A legend meets scores future. Hitomi is going to explode on the u.s scene thanks to score…….and invite Miriam gonzalez to score. Ultimate dream. Thanks score

I second the opinion that the 15th year issue had way too many small pictures. I rather see less pictures if they are full size or close to that.

  11. Elliot James says:

A lot of very interesting ideas here. We appreciate the input. I enjoyed reading them. Thanks, guys.

  12. Long time subscriber says:

    Hi,

I’ve been subscribing to “Score” since the 3rd issue. I was lucky enough to pick up the first two issues that I was missing.

Last year, I almost gave up on “Score” and let my subscription expire because I was not impressed with the layouts and models used. I thought maybe I’ll wait one more year to see what “Score” does for the 20th anniversary issue.

Then, I noticed you guys started acquiring some of the popular Internet models like Beshine, Terri Jane, Dors Feline, and Leanne Crow. After seeing that, I was glad that I kept my subscription.

I liked the format of 10th anniversary issue but I did not like the 15th anniversary issue. The problem I had with the 15th ann. issue is that it had too many small pictures rather than pictorials. Even the cover of the 10th ann. issue is better than the cover of the 15th ann. issue. A big image of Sarenna Lee is better than a bunch of small images of many Score models.

Here’s what I think you should do for the 20th anniversary issue.

    1. Rather than reprint all old photos, print new pictorials with former “Score” models that have returned to modeling like Deena Duos, Elizabeth Starr, Eden More, and Dianne Poppos.

    2. Try and get models that have posed for “Score” and are still active posing for others to reappear in new pictorials. These models have not appeared in “Score” in a long time. I would like to see Chelsea Charms, Keisha Evans, Nadine Jansen, Chloe Vevrier, Kayla Kleevage, Casey James, Dee Dee Deluxe, Echo Valley, and Maxi Mounds. All of these women are what “Score” was about when it first came out in the early 90’s.

    3. The issue should not just celebrate the past. It should also celebrate the current job “Score” is doing to book top internet models that will also have future pictorials. If you can persuade top internet talents like Milena Velba and Abbi Secraa to make their “Score” debut, that would make it a milestone issue. Or, try and get famous models like Busty Heart that never posed for a magazine.

    4. I would like to read about what former “Score” models (like Toppsy Curvy, Lisa Chest, Pandora Peaks, Platinum Peaks, Alexis Love, or Busty Dusty) are doing these days (e.g. job, family, or hobbies). This could be an interview with some current pictures. The pictures wouldn’t be nude because they have retired from modeling. These pictures would be current personal photos or head shots that they send to you. I’m sure these women are still attractive at a mature age.

    5. Use current models like Beshine, Terri Jane, Eden More, Valory Irene, Eva Notty, or Christy Marks to do iconic retro homage pictorials that mimic past issue pictorials done by former “Score” models. You could also include one comparison shot and indicate what issue it is from so that people can hunt down that elusive back issue. Some examples would be the Sarenna Lee/Marilyn Monroe 7-year itch white dress pose and Pandora Peaks in the black and white stripe tight tube top. Any of the Topsy Curvy pictorials are classic ones to mimic because she often had outfits or props to use. Another favorite pictorial was Maxi Mounds as a mamazon (I think that was in a “Score” special called Buxotica). She had a leopard cavewoman outfit with a spear. I love the use of costumes and props.

    6. Insert a supplemental booklet with all of the hall of fame models like LA Bust, Busty Dusty, etc. Score did something similar to this with the 3D issue and calendar inserts.

    Thank you

  13. LeeRoy says:

Track down all the models that appeared in the first issue,
go to great lengths in locating them and contacting them,
then do a “then and Now” photo feature.
ask them questions and interviews of what they been doing since 1991 and sh*t like that.
Just dont reprint the same old photos
    from the first issue.

  14. Larry G. says:

10 SUBSCRIBERS should win a date with a SCORE model of their choice.
I remember Voluptous had such a contest about 14 years ago.
I wanted a date with Kim Eternity who was one of the models offered
    for the win-a-date V-mag contest.

  15. Mike says:

I’d like to see some of the legends of the past come back for a reunion. Also, I’d like a top 20 or top 100 all time favorite model countdown.

  16. trevor says:

the 20th yr girl as a favorite of the years so its an all in kind of thing
try to find some past gals for a photo shoot or 2 for the 20th yr
put out a video of the shoot and a movie of the girl in question

    Venera or/both Anya

  18. viggo says:

    A 20 year celebration requires a 200 page issue!!

With maybe 4 different collectable covers. 1st cover is of the “best” model between 92-97,
2nd cover best model 98-02, 3rd cover best model 03-07
    4rt cover best model 08-12.
Maybe if you manage to collect all 4 covers you’ll discover a secret message
that’ll get you the chance to win a grand prize! A free liftime
    membership to Scoreland???

Have a good feeling my idea will be the winner, and if Marias bra is out of reach,
i’ll settle for her signing the magazine too! 🙂

Has it been nearly 5 years since Christy Marks was the mystery guest of the web special for the 15 years review?

As a reader of Score from the 5th issue (Lisa Lipps on the cover and she is still doing porn vids!) the issue must reflect the past glories but not ignore present ladies

With the double barrels of the magazine and the website you can mirror the latest celebration with a concentrated review in the magazine and a much more in depth review on Scoreland and dont forget the Score Sites which were not fully developed last time and all the other media (dvds, cellphone etc) who can join in this time

The magazine due to concentrated space should focus on the best – Hall of Fame, Annual Best ofs, Boobcruise highlights with titbits of behind the scenes, bloopers and specials like Tight Tops & Swimsuits – personally I would minimise hardcore in that mag issue

However the website celebration could cover (or better still expose) as many girls as possible because many readers favourites never made the Best of lists or Hall of Fame and there you can run the whole gamut from Preggers to XL Plumpers to Naturals to Enhanced to Hardcore to Score TV Shows to AVN Visits to Strip Clubs to Boobcruise Scenes – you can go to town – be it BoobTown or ScoreTown

the 20 year edition should feature the most popular model from each year and would be great to see another double issue… how about running some special competitions where winners get the studio tour and a chance to look in on a shoot… also how about a 20year anniversary calender or some sort of giveaway booklet???

I WOULD LOVE TO SEE KARINA HART AND CHRISTY MARKS PHOTO SHOOT FOR THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF SCORE. BEEN READING SCORE SINCE 1999 AND ALWAYS ENJOY THE PICTORIALS.

  23. J.D. says:

Maybe do a historical retrospective, have SCORE models act out moments in big boob history (you know, those moments they forget to mention in the history books), or even dress up as uber-sexual versions of historical figures. I’m sure a lot of the models would love to dress up as Cleopatra or Joan of Arc or even Marilyn Monroe, or simply dress in the fashions of different ancient kingdoms, empires, all the way up to current times. Make it an ‘in the flesh’ Fantasy Score issue, ya know? On another note, you could do a theme where they dress up as famous literary, tv and movie characters, would probably have a lot of fun with that one.
