30 years of SCORE magazine: the 30th anniversary issue

February 24, 2022 by Elliot James

30 years in the making,  SCORE magazine Volume 30 Number 4 is the first of several special editions in 2022 celebrating our 30th anniversary. Our previous anniversary issues were one-time special issues.

When I bought the first issue of SCORE in 1992 in a Las Vegas store, I had no clue that it would outlast all of the other big-bust titles on the shelves or the tons of other men’s “sophisticates” that were filling the racks at newsstands, gas stations, adult book and video shops, and general magazine stores that had adult sections.

When we published the 15th anniversary issue, a reader mailed “Scorecard,” “I look forward to seeing what you will put together for the 20th anniversary issue.” Then we published the 25th anniversary issue. I wonder what he would think of this issue. Thirty years is a real milestone considering that men’s mags appeared and disappeared very quickly over the decades, not to mention surviving the Internet, and, more recently, surviving a global pandemic that damaged every kind of business.

In 2003, Adult Video News contacted us about doing a story. The writer wanted some history about SCORE.

“Our founder John Fox began working in big-bust publishing in 1974,” I explained. “He and his partners founded SCORE magazine in 1992. SCORE has always been rooted in big-bust modeling from its inception. Big boobs are not a passing fad with us like other companies. He set the pace for the staff. We were never a layer cake of corporate procedures that insulated management from the creative departments. Make it better than it has to be is one of his mottos.”

There’s more to the story than that, of course. Much more. From finding and attracting the best girls to keeping up with advances in technology to listening to the readers, we kept moving forward, making SCORE  “better than it had to be.”

In the 20th Anniversary blog, I wrote, “I like new tech, but it’s only a means to an end, and that end is the love of big tits.”

I suppose you’ve felt the shockwave around the world from the sudden announcement from Hitomi Tanaka that she has retired. Had always hoped she would come back for a few more layouts. Scoreland did such a outstanding job of making her beautiful breasts the star of every shoot. With her no longer under contact in Japan it seems Scoreland would be able to woo their once golden boobs back for one last Miami trip. Please please please do all you can! I am in mourning.

    From my taste,
of the 30 years Score models, Danni Ashe is the best for tits, with her natural, taut, shapely big tits and pink, huge, erotic areola, while Chloe Vevrier is the best for pussy, with her huge, round, protruding clitoris and overall shape, which is the most erotic.
In terms of time period, the best time period was from the late 1990’s to the 2000’s when my favorite models such as Danni, Chloe, Linsey, and Autumn and etc. were active.

Been a lover of score for about 20 years, as a fan of any big boobs there is no better place.

Keep up the good work and here’s to another 30 years

I absolutely love SCORE. I came to the party much later than most, sometime in 2015 on the hunt for big-boobed Hitomi pics, and I’ve been buying your mags and DVDs nonstop ever since. In today’s age of dime-a-dozen internet pornography, SCORE’s professional shoots of the best and bustiest babes in the world really stands out. You guys aren’t just running a business, you’re providing a top-notch service for big-boob lovers everywhere. I can’t thank you enough. I’m loving my copy of SCORE Vol. 30 No.4 and I can’t wait to see the rest of SCORE’s 30th year anniversary celebration. Personally, I really hope to see plenty of your classic, 90s mega-titters!
