Commenting on my Sunday Blog posting (“Now Showing: Video of Arianna Sinn in the Bahamas”), FrankNZ wrote, “Can we all work as interns on the next trip, please? Payment will not be required. I’ll even bring my own brushes for sand removal services!”
The last part of his comment reminded me of one of the best things ever said by a model in Voluptuous. It was in the November ’96 issue (I can’t believe I remember these things), and it was said by Chanel, a curvy amateur who appeared twice in V-Mag. The photo set was shot on the beach in South Padre Island, Texas, and Chanel said, “The wind was blowing so much. I was cleaning sand out of my ass for a week!” That comment was juxtaposed with the photo below, and the idea of Chanel picking sand out of that big, fuckable ass of hers…well, it got my imagination going. All I could think about was Chanel in the shower, picking sand out of her ass.
You know, some people say nobody reads the copy that accompanies the photos in a men’s magazine. Well, I do (and I did; in 1996, I was still five years away from becoming editor of SCORE and Voluptuous), and nearly 14 years later, I still remember the quote and the photo. Here it is.
"The wind was blowing so much. I was picking sand out of my ass for a week!"

Dave, I don’t think you could impress me any more than with what you wrote in your last two blogs. Chanel and Donita are two of my all time favorites. I too remember this picture of Chanel and wanting to help this poor girl out with her sand removal issue.
