Bigger cleavage, more confidence! This is a news alert?
A team at Manchester University led by Professor Geoff Beattie is trying to scientifically prove that a woman’s self-confidence increases when she wears a cleavage-boosting brassiere. Hell, I’ve been telling girls that for years.
The scientists claim that they’ve established this connection. I’m all for studies like this in the name of boobology. I’m sure those scientists couldn’t wait to get their hands on the data.
This is what they did at the university:
They shot 60 videos of women from 20 to 55 years old in three different everyday interactions.
The videos of the women wearing push-up bras were compared to videos of them wearing their own bras.
Professor Beattie and crew studied what they call the three key “micro-behaviors” associated with confidence and observed how many times they happened.
The three micro-behaviors they looked for were smiling (good), breaking eye contact (bad) and “self-comforting hand movements” such as stroking the chin (bad).
The push-up bra results:
Smiling increased by 73% when the women were wearing a push-up bra.
Breaking eye contact, a negative behavior, decreased by 41%.
Self-comforting hand movements, a sign of low self-confidence, decreased by 64%.
Summing up, the scientists claim that women with more prominent cleavage were more likely to maintain eye contact and show more self-confidence in public.
Still, I have to wonder about this study. It was commissioned by Gossard. The lingerie company is releasing a new push-up bra called “The Super Egoboost.”
They could have just come over to the SCORE building, and we would have answered all of their questions.
One sure result of more women wearing push-up bras would be 75 to 100% more guys smiling.

Ok, I have to chime in. First off, beautiful buxom ladies with exceptionally large and gorgeous breasts are the absolute best, period. Cleavage is symbol of this gorgeousness most often experienced by us mortals…and for me, it is king. I love it and always will. to Samantha38G, first off, you are amazing and stunningly beautiful in all your work; I am a forever fan and find you exquistely beautiful; and, to your post, I too love your big boobs…Bigtime! Anyone who has been rude, snide or all around lame to you in a club, restaurant, airport of whatever is a straight up loser. Tact and social graces are age old practices that when employed go a long way. Many folks seem to have forgotten this fact. This is more poignant when referencing what people have rudely said to you regarding your illustrious and beautfiul figure…it’s outrageous and they have no place saying anything that’s condescending to you. Pretty much, they can go fuck themselves and it’s most likely some asshole who was psychically injured in high school when he didn’t get the girl he wanted or somehow simply wasn’t given enough attention from his mommy. You make an excellent point about ladies choosing reductions due to shit talking assholes who have this fixation that beauty only resides with anorexic waif-like twigs….that’s an utter crock of shit. However, I am sophisticated and smart enough with a right sized amount of social graces and tact to know that it’s not ok to broadcast what I may think about a certain type of lady and their figure…that’s not my business and I am mature enough to know that. Well, I said it once already. Any man stupid enough to insult a woman with large breasts is either seriously brain damaged, or has a deep hatred for other men (cause we just LOVE when women get breast reductions! Yay.) Let’s make this clear. They are in the extreme minority, and on behalf of all men, these haters should be taken out back and beaten immediately. Yes, I’m advocating violence towards anti-boobites. It’s wrong, but it’s for the greater good.

Men tend to be more rude & obnoxious to girls with huge tits. Then act like we should accept that kind of behavior. Hence why so many big boob girls want reductions. To many shame us for being even a little bit brave *& show off cleavage or curves.

We even followed up with the question “Would you risk losing an eye from a boob exploding out of a way too tight push up bra?” Once again, the results were the same. So we now have scientific proof, men will die for breasts.
